Mark Bassett wears several hats. He is a
full-time Lecturer at Case Western Reserve University during the
academic year. As a dealer specializing in American & European art pottery, he buys pottery for resale, from one piece to an entire collection. Other interests include 20th Century Design movements from Art Nouveau and Arts and Crafts, to Art Deco and Mid-Century Modernism. He also has buyers for works (in different media) by the artists of the Cleveland School, particularly those made during 1890-1950. Mark is always looking for unusual items. Selected consignments are welcome additions to his exhibit at the country's leading pottery shows. Ebay sales are also possible. Consignment rates are reasonable, and arrangements confidential. Prompt payment. Free consultations. References available. As a researcher and collector,
Mark enjoys meeting other pottery collectors and seeing their
collections
in person. Besides the friendship that can develop between collectors,
sometimes new book ideas emerge from these special occasions. If you
know
that he'll be traveling through your area, and you think he'd like to
see
your collection (for any or all of the above reasons), please contact
him.
